This auction is for a very RARE 1970 Subaru 360 Young S micro project car. If you want to restore a Subaru 360 sedan model, this is the one to restore.
This yellow Young S is a nearly complete project car that features bucket seats, 4 speed manual transmission, factory racing stripe on roof that has curves (bumps). has been in Colorado off the road for years. we took out the seats and original floor mats to see the floors and take some pics. floors have bright yellow original paint with a few surface rust type blistering. Overall the car needs a COMPLETE RESTORATION. weatherstripping and rubber is dried out. motor/trans is complete but hasn't run in years.here's some of the features the Young S model has that the 360 Deluxe model doesn't have:Steering wheel is leather (?) wrapped and has Young horn button. car comes with original faded horn cap and a real nice original.Bucket seats are nice condition, need recovering. front and back seat materials look original, mainly a velour type black fabric. rear seat is basically a thick piece of foam with metal cap.Factory gauges with a tach. this unit is missing glass cover, can be sent to several companies that can fix this and repair tach. Tubular bumpers front and back. back is complete with black ends, front bumper is missing the ends.Roof is curved, looks like 2 bumps, real sporty. this car was in covered storage for years, roof is in excellent condition, no holes, doesn't leak. Original floor mats were removed, inspected and washed off. except for driver mat, all other mats are very good condition. driver is good with a tear by the pedals and a small hole.Only has one sunvisor on driver side, other visor mount bracket is there and looks like it has a factory cap on the hole where the visor arm goes through. only one visor from the factory? Comes with complete original black seat belts that need work, buckles have rust.original Young S emblem on front hood.
here's some things that need replacement/fixing:No keys, has a flat tire. no spare tire, one headlight bezel missing, other one cracked. don't know original mileage, probably 133,000 miles.Missing a few Young S parts: Rear decklid Young S emblem, rubber ends on front bumper, has 3 of the 4 hubcaps. black driver interior door panel. black shields on front of rear tire opening.
regarding glass- windshield is cracked, all in place not leaking. front door glass on both sides is held up by regulator so they close. regulator arm is out of track. rear window seal was replaced, large top seal that goes around top of car has shrunk in the dry climate and won't fit back in track.
Body has numerous dings/dents prior damage, has signs of being repainted prior. good news is its not a rust bucket like most the subaru 360's on eBay. it does have minor rust, a rust hole on the firewall where the battery tray mounts, passenger side mirror base area has rusted/needs repair. entire bottom of car is dry as a bone.

Car has no title and we can not find a Vin# tag. we do have the Vin# because its stamped in the frame below the spare tire area. We'll supply a Colorado Bill of Sale with that Vin. Calling it a 1970 model because of parts dated 1969 on the car, don't know for sure. Car is being sold in as is condition with no warranties either expressed or implied.
