1951 Studebaker Land Cruiser

In it's glory day. the 1951 Studebaker Land Cruiser was the manufacturer's top of the line "luxury"model. The Land Cruiser was a long-wheelbase sedan with suicide doors and the more refined version of Studebakers's "bullet-nose" styling. It also had Studebaker's all-new OHV V-8 engine. one of the most advanced engines available from any car maker. This particular car was equipped with optional overdrive transmission. "wet" air cleaner. windshield visor. climatizer heater. wide white-wall tires. and full wheel covers. The 1951 Studebaker Land Cruiser also now shared the 119" wheelbase of the Commander models. This 1951 Studebaker Land Cruiser has been stored in the shop. away from any elements. since 2001 and has not been started since then. Also. the left fender is from a Champion. the inside of the fender was cut out to fit the battery.
