Vehicle Details

1950 Studebaker Champion 2 door sedan. Very original un-molested car. Exterior has been repainted a long time ago. No rust, very straight but not perfect.

Interior is very original as well and in good shape for a 72 year old car. Dash was re painted many years ago black as we believe it would have been originally grey. Gauge cluster all functions, as do all the gauges. Cool “glow in the dark” lettering still shows up nicely at night when the lights are on. Nice ruby red casted in color steering wheel, shift knob and optional turn signal knob are in great shape as well.

I’ve owned this car for almost 20 years, I had my electrical guy from my Mopar Restoration business completely re wire the whole car with vinyl insulated wires that are all in the factory color and stripe markings. Everything works electrically the way it should except the horns, as the relay needs replacing cause it was draining the battery. Car is still set up basically 6 volt, except we run a 8 volt battery and we had the generator and voltage regulator modified to charge at 9.2 volts to maintain the 8 volt system. Car is equipped with optional and functional correct turn signals as well.

Original flat head six runs incredible, always starts right up, runs cool and doesn’t leave oil on the ground. Years ago we upgraded the engine with a NOS Weiand finned aluminum cylinder head, otherwise it’s bone stock. This car is a standard 3 speed manual trans car shifted through a column mounted shifter that works flawlessly shifting the Borg Warner T-58, with factory electronic overdrive that also works just as it should.

Great weekend driver/survivor example of one of these cars. I’m planning to retire in the near future and just don’t have room for it. It’s a running driving ready to enjoy Studebaker that turns heads anywhere it goes. Lastly car has new correct 7.10-15 bias ply tires and a fresh 8 volt battery.
