Description:
1947 Studebaker M16
Up for auction is a very well cared for old Studebaker truck. Its been used in the pear and walnut industry here in Northern California since new which has helped preserve it. Always stored in the Winter months and used for the harvest once a year. This truck runs great and is equipped with its original Studebaker Commander 216 flathead 6 motor, 4 speed manual transmission on the floor and a 2 speed rear axle. The bed is made of Heart Redwood (no knots) thats likely as old as the truck. The seat and interior panels are about the only thing thats not original to the truck. Perfect for business advertisement and parades with a top speed around 50 mph downhill with a tail wind. No rust just a solid old truck with decent paint that attracts a lot of attention. Speedometer and fuel gauge are not working. All window mechanisms working with a little encouragement, glass is old and has some cracks and haze.Clean California title in hand, its registered and insured with early historical vehicle plates. You are bidding on/purchasing a 70+ year old original truck, this truck drives like a tractor, it steers and stops like one also... don't be fooled by its good looks! Also its heavy and long wheel based so know your total shipping costs from here 95451 to you - BEFORE bidding in this auction. This trucks sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied.
