Description:
1953 Studebaker Studebaker Champion Regal Starlight Coupe
Incredible custom Studebaker coupe. This car was purchased directly from the builder and professionallyshipped to it's current location. This vehicle is owned by my Father-in-law and has been his baby since the day he bought it. Unfortunately, the time has come when he is no longer able to drive and rather than let this beautiful car just sit under it's cover in the garage he has asked my to list it so that someone else may love as he has.So, in this case I am simply the auctioneer as it were, and will be happy to handle all communication between yourself and him. Please let me know if you have additional questions about the vehicle that are not listed below and I will ask him if he knows the answer. One note he wanted me to list has to do with odometer reading. The reading on the odometer is 52,841, however, the builder stated that the gaugesin the car were taken out of a different build at about 28,000 miles. This would lead us to believe that the milage on this car is about 25K. I can't verify any of this, but I can tell you the car does not look as though it has 52, 841 miles on it.
I have tried to represent the vehicle as best I could in the description and pictures that are included with the listing. Again, this car has been loved a lot, and driven some. When first purchased it was a family affair to take it to local car shows and hang out with the crowd. Thus the car does a few minor flaws in the paint. Mechanically in great great shape as it runs strong and is still a tremendousamount of fun as evidencedby the video I got to drive for in the videos (available upon request).
Please take a look at the details below and the pics and I wish you luck in the bidding process.
