This is a 1965 Lone Star Classics 427 Cobra Replica that was custom built in 2003 in Fort Worth, TX by Lone Star. GA title lists the car as a 2003 Lone Star Roadster (it was an in-house build). This custom built Cobra is an excellent example of a show-quality car. It has very low miles – only 4,032 original miles with copious documentation authenticating that. It has a 351 Stroker that has been bored to 427 spec and makes nearly 600hp. It has a striking custom color combination of metallic silver (with ghost stripes) on firethorn red and was built with an open checkbook. This is a car you can drive anywhere and be confident in. It is a quality build with the very best in performance parts and is fully documented in its build binder which will be provided to the buyer. EXTERIOR: The show quality paint job was custom ordered by the original owner and is a Porsche color from 2003 with arctic silver metallic “ghost stripes”. The paint isn't perfect, but it is darn close with a few small stone chips from leisure driving. It has genuine Boyd Coddington wheels with Continental Extreme Contact performance tires. It also has wing windows along with a cloth top and frame (not pictured) that are stored in the trunk. All of the chrome trim features on the car are in excellent condition. INTERIOR: The interior is in excellent condition. It is fully carpeted and has beautiful firethorn red seats and a striking wood dash and steering wheel with classic instrument gauges. This is a 5-speed manual car and the shifter has a wooden cobra shift knob. The chrome AC foot pedals round out the driver comforts. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood, you'll find a naturally aspirated, 351 stroker V8 making in excess of 500HP! It has aluminum heads, cobra intake, cam, equal length headers with side pipes, aluminum radiator, and oil cooler. It's also mated to a T5 5-speed manual transmission with 410 gears. Fresh Mobil 1 10W30 oil change. It runs on 93 octane non ethanol gas. It pounds the earth! TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment is nicely completed with custom carpet. The battery is back there along with a battery tie-down kit and trickle charger. The cloth top stores in the trunk and it has ample room for moderate luggage. UNDERSIDE: The underside is in great shape. Everything is powder-coated black. The engine is clean as well as the transmission. It has a performance suspension with disc brakes on all 4 corners. This is a quality, custom build that has been done right. Guaranteed....you can spend a lot more and get a lot less. This car is a great opportunity for a Shelby Cobra enthusiast.
