1969 Shelby GT500

This is a genuine Shelby listed in registry #0212. Documented with Marti report, Shelby invoice and Shelby order form. Very honest 85,000 mile car. From a collection of Shelbys that haven't been available to the public in many years.
EXTERIOR: Acapulco blue, in my opinion the best color to have. It's a really good looking older restoration. The body is very clean. It is straight, panels fit really well. No rust, its smooth along the bottom. The paint job is over 20 years old and looks great. Very glossy. You walk up to it and say it's show car but if you inspect it there are some minor flaws. The Shelby wheels are in pristine condition, BFGoodrich tires look new. Upfront i s unique to Shelby. It has it's own grill, Lucas fog lamps, fiberglass hood and fenders are longer. On each side it has reflective stripes, scoops, sport mirrors and Cobra emblems. In back ot has window sport slats, fiberglass trunk and 1/4 extensions with dovetail. It features taillights Shelby took from a 65 Thunderbird. Also has unique aluminum exhaust outlet in the middle where the license plate would be on a Mustang. Has very nice trim, glass, door jambs, weatherstrips etc.
INTERIOR: Deluxe interior includes the high back seats, molded door panels, wood grain trim and rubber mats sewn right into the carpet. All is in excellent condition. Optional features include tachometer, swingaway tilt wheel, power ventilation and fold down rear sport seat. Shelby features include roll bar with retractable shoulder harnesses, a console with Cobra logo, toggle switches for lights and 2 gauges. The interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a period correct 428 Cobra Jet ram air motor. The air cleaner assembly is complete, even has the snorkel tube that goes down to the exhaust manifold. The compartment is detailed up real nice. Has proper hoses, clamps and plug wires. Has Ford washer bottle, squirters are hooked up. Has correct finned aluminum valve covers. Features include power steering and brakes. Components look nice in their proper finishes. The engine bay is nice metal with factory spot welds and seams.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean, new mat. Has collapsible spare with the correct jack and even the felt pad. Has the cardboard panels over tail light housings. Because it has a fold down seat, there is a door that opens up into the interior. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is painted gloss blue. Has the decals, weather strip is soft.
UNDERSIDE: Very clean original metal. The floors, rockers, frame rails are clean. Still has original rubber drain flaps on the rockers. The front end was gone through. New ball joints, tie rod ends etc. Disc brakes in front, the calipers and hoses look new. Bottom of the motor is real clean. The original 4-speed trans is clean, has original tag. Has the correct exhaust system with transverse mufflers. In back it has staggered shocks and traction lok 3.50 rear end. Fuel tank looks new.
Shelby is legendary, still to this day it is arguably the most prestigious name in the muscle car world. You would be buying an exciting piece of history.
