1989 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/Spur/Dawn LHD

Up for sale is my 1989 Rolls Royce Silver Spur in Porcelain White with Palomino interior and brown Lambs Wool overlays over its brown carpets. I also made sure to have a matching trunk lambs wool overlay in the trunk. The vehicle has a spotless exterior with no dings or dents. The top is as it should be without any imperfections. The tires are good to go and no need to replace them as they are pretty new. The interior is as good as it gets for its age. Wood is not perfect but its not imperfect either. Its got some small chipped areas from seat belt hits and some small scratches but that's just every Rolls wood is if not restored at this age. The car currently has little less then 65200 miles. It always starts right up without any hesitation and drives like a yacht on calm waters. If I leave the vehicle parked for 2 weeks and then go start it it will start right up and it will do the same thing after a month too. Its been one very reliable car for me. Not surprising to me but to many others, I had better luck with Rolls Royce's in my life with reliability then other vehicles.

Here is the background of the vehicle and how I came to own it. The previous ownership and history of any Rolls Royce is important.

The previous owner of the vehicle of many years, was getting old, but the car was his joy of many years, so he would drive it daily and that's how he brought the odometer up to 65200 miles. I actually feel much more comfortable when the Rolls I buy has some milage. It tells me it was driven which means it was also serviced. Cars that sit and have low miles, and I have some of those too, always create more issues. That's always been the case at least for me. I owned a 1988 Silver Spur with 144000 miles and drove it to 170000 miles and it never failed and you could not hear the engine. These engines get better when you use them.Once going in to his garage, he accidentally pushed the gas pedal too hard, lost control and scuffed the passengers side and because the headlight cracked and needed replacement, fender and the passenger door was scuffed up, he figured it will be too much to fix, made a mistake (at least to me that was a mistake) and made an insurance claim. I personally would eat and cost and fix it out of my pocket.I am assuming he did not know that the insurance company would declare the vehicle a total loss so he made the claim and all though whoever fixed the vehicle did a great job and you cannot tell it was painted as the color is matched perfectly, the paint meter does not show thick bondo which tells me the body shop was a pro but the title was reissued as rebuilt after the incident due to its age and it being a Rolls.Being a long time collector and a very experienced car buyer, also a dealership owner for many years, trust me I know the difference between a good body shop and pro job and a bad one. Because I bought the vehicle from the owners wife and not the owner himself, she could not provide me photos of the incident which she told me they took but I took the word of an 82 year old lady and didnt push her to find them.
I've had this insurance conversation with different insurance companies and agents and learned that household name Insurance companies, such as Allstate, Geico, State Farm or Farmers, do not like to insure these vehicles because they don't insure them like they would insure a dodge or a Volvo and have to declare the vehicle as total loss most of the time when its in an accident because they do not want to get involved with repairing it. This is because of parts, which they cant source or price, the fact that if an old part is not available, the new one costs as much as the car and other issues are the body shops and there are many other factors involved .Most insurance companies will refer you to classic car insurance company for a Rolls or a Bentley and until recently even a for a Maserati and that's how I insure my classics and I own many.

The owner of the vehicle always serviced the vehicle locally at a shop where I take my vehicles. I owned many Rolls Royce Bentley's in my lifetime and still have a couple and the shop owner knows about my weakness for these cars. Once the gentleman brought his vehicle for some repairs and maintenance and regular service and was never able to pick it up after it was completed, since he passed days after. As I mentioned he was older. Months after his wife contacted the shop to pay the bill and have the vehicle picked up but when she heard what was owed to the shop, she decided to find a buyer who would pay the bill and give her the rest at fair market value.
Since I previously looked at the vehicle when I was at the shop dropping off my car, the shop owners decided to call me and offer me to buyer the car. I did not wait and immediately went down and with her permission took the car on a 70 mile journey to beautiful Mt. Charleston, which has nice paved roads like the Malibu Canyon, but they are much steeper and curved and this is where I do my test drives to put the car under lots of pressure and see how it will react and came back with a decision to buy it regardless what it says on the title, because the car run like a champ. I really drove the car, tested its brakes, did 100 miles an hour for 2 mile, etc. This would be my second rebuilt title Rolls or a Bentley and my first Turbo R served as my daily driver for years that never even once gave me an issue and really served like a war horse. I did not regret my decision for a minute and would never sell the vehicle if we did not move to a gated community with a 3 car garage, and no additional parking, from a home that had an RV parking and a 4 car garage and a side yard which fit 9 vehicles. We had to move due to kids schools and that was my only option and this association is terrible when it comes to cars and parking. I can only have what I can fit in the garage so all my extra cars have to go because I really don't have a way to park them anywhere anymore.

The vehicle does not have any oil licks currently. It drives as it should and everything on it works besides the stereo and that happened recently. I don't know if its a fuse issue or if its the stereo itself. I bought the lambs wool covers recently and paid $2000 for them. The car looks so good, This is not a car you will buy and get under it but you will drive it. That you can be sure of. Thank you

I will need a deposit from the buyer immediately and a full payment within 7 days after the deposit via wire transfer. The buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up or shipping. Thank you
