1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/Spur/Dawn

Like a fine wine, a Rolls-Royce only gets more desirable with age. After all, a car like this 1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur was reserved for the highest of high society when new, and only the right ones were preserved like this example. So it's amazing a car like this is now available for such an obtainable price.
These originally sold for well-over $100k when new, and this is a great example of the Crewe factory's art. Only the British can create a cream with a brown padded roof in such a coordinating color excellence. And the way the pinstripe matches the roof color creates a level of thoughtfulness that earns its Spirit of Ecstasy leading the way. The company's careful dedication to craftsmanship is seen from every angle, that's why the paint is even the original application. And the upgrade to the flush-fitting headlights seen later in the series gives it added distinction. This has averaged less than 1,500 miles annually, and overall, it shows the proper care of a well-respected symbol of opulence. So this Rolls continues to still instantly command attention wherever it arrives.
Open the door, and it is a luxurious greeting of burled walnut, Connolly leather, and lamb's wool. In true British luxury, the tone of the leather is a nice hue to coordinate with both the outside brown accents and the forest laid on the dash panels. So the full package gives a very nicely harmonized feeling. The view from behind the glossy black wheel is a great reminder how true craftsmanship should be. It includes power windows, power seats, power locks, cruise control, and automatic climate control (the A/C will need servicing to blow ideally cold again.) But this is not a car strictly built for the front seat. The Silver Spur is the long-wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit, which means there is exceptional luxury in the rear seating - after all, the owners of these cars are not necessarily the drivers. Not only does the Silver Spur have more legroom, but it also comes with footrests so that this sedan can still be a true executive-level transport.
The smooth running 6.75-liter V8 under the hood is a staple of Rolls-Royce luxury. This is believed to be original to the car, and it carries the right balance of low mileage tidiness and correct maintenance. The fuel-injected engine was built to always have power in reserve. Its full force is delivered not like a muscle car, but more like an express train. Rolls-Royce engineers went to great lengths to isolate the mechanical workings from passengers, and as a result, the motor is highly refined. There's a luxury feeling for trips near or far thanks to a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic transmission (borrowed from GM for better reliability) and power steering. The fully independent suspension has a self-leveling feature for an unmistakably comfortable ride, and it stays sure-footed with four-wheel power disc brakes.
Complete with the owner's manual packet, this is true prestige at an affordable price. Don't miss out on a slice of the good life. Call today!!!
