Vehicle DetailsThe car received a mechanical overhaul by an elderly mechanic that used to work at Renault until they shut down in 1987. He wasn’t able to find some injection components, in particular the distributor, so he converted it to carburetor. It now has a Weber carburetor, a new distributor (different for fuel injection and carburetor), new water pump, new fuel pump, new alternator, all original new old stock Renault parts. The motor fires right up and runs smooth. Power steering works! The clutch was changed with a new original Verto one. A new brake master cylinder was installed, new original vented rotors and new original caliper. The car runs, drives and stops. I refurbished the gas tank but haven’t installed it yet. The radiator was also removed and has to be refurbished.
I have all the parts to get it fixed, such as fender, headlight surround, bumper (U.S. and European) and other parts like exhaust, radiator, etc. Unfortunately my mechanic is not able to finish this project due to age and health issues. I have too many cars in my collection (18) and I won’t have time to finish this one. My loss is your gain.
