Originally a California car. Super solid. Not a project.
1975 Porsche 914
Selling my 1975 Porsche 914 1.8 withjust over 100,000 confirmed miles.
The car started life inCalifornia, went to Montana only 2 years ago and I just recentlybought it and shipped it to Massachusetts.
Selling to fund a JaguarXJ6 Coupe restoration.
So, what sets this 914 apart from others?Well, it is a true California rust free 914, even the hell hole hasno rust. The longitudinals are solid and rust free. The car is verymuch an original car where it counts. Seats and back pad have beenreupholstered, but the carpets are original and in great condition. Ihave added Coco mats to protect the original carpets. To me thebiggest selling point of this car over other 914’s is that themotor and trans-axle are original to the car and the OEM fuelinjection has been retained and maintained. Most owners have long replaced the FI in favor of Weber carbs, but these don’t work aswell with a stock motor unless you rebuild with performance cams tocompliment the Webers. The car’s injection has been properlymaintained and fires up and runs perfectly.
I looked long and hard to find a 914that was this original with the original injection intact and not allrusted out.
Other features of the car include allnew hard stainless steel fuel lines from 914rubber.com, all newrubber fuel hoses and all new vacuum and other misc hoses. I replacedthe Momo steering wheel that came on the car when I bought it with anew near perfect condition stock steering wheel. The Momo wheel withmounting hub will be included with the sale.
The previous owner installed Koniadjustable suspension and the car is riding on new 195/50R-15Yokohama tires.
I recently did the Ford solenoid mod toprevent hot start issues that are common on these older 914s.
The car was originally Silver, and aprevious owner painted it red. The paint is nice and looks good but has a few flaws. The car starts runs, drives, steers, andstops perfectly. This car is a blast and I love it, but time to pass it on to another enthusiast. Included will be an original 1975 914 factory sales brochure and aclean Massachusetts title in my name.
Please feel free to ask any questions. I can be available to assist with shipping if out of state.
Payment to be cash on pickup or a bank wire. I will provide my USAA routeing and account number upon sale.
