1986 Porsche 928S, belonged to a mentor of mine who spared no expense looking after it. 150k miles on the odometer. Clean and clear title.
This is an excellent candidate for restoration, as it is a very solid foundation, and drivetrain. Southern car it’s entire life. Always lived in the garage.
There are far too many details to list here. I am trying to locate the logbook for work and will provide to the new owner if they are patient enough to allow me to dig it up.
The car is not perfect. It needs work that is consistent with a vehicle of this age.
Summary:
Cosmetics: paint is original and still shines. A little elbow grease will make it look like new.
Mechanically: Engine fires right up. Idle RPM could use minor adjustment. Transmission shifts well. I have not had it long enough to thoroughly inspect for all forms of leaks, but I have yet to observe anything significant.
Electrical: Console ! Sign is on. Not sure what the cause, all systems seem to be normal. The one negative is that the original owner installed an aftermarket sound system but it operates perfectly well.
Interior: good shape, no major rips or tears or stains. Very clean for its age.
Body/structure: very sound and probably on the cleaner side for the age. I have not been able to identify any rust or other concerns.
Suspension: drives reasonably stiff, so I would say it is good to go. Have not had the opportunity to put it on a lift and take of the wheels.
I am asking $12k for the vehicle. But I need it gone by this weekend, so will take the highest offer by then.

Not sure if you aware, you have the 8th car off the line (1008) of the improved “S3” 928. It came with bigger S4 brakes, S4 suspension, and true dual exhaust….Pretty rare car….
