Thank you for viewing my listing on this beautiful and well sorted example 1968 Porsche 912. This vehicle withing the last 200 miles has had a full service completed including the purchase and installation of a 901 5spd transmission (911) by a well known shop in CT (automobile associates). Along with the transmission upgrade many small items were taken care of to refresh all the parts around the transmission as well. Lastly the carbs were recently rebuilt and tuned, timing was set. All plugs, wires, and ignition parts were inspected and replaced as required, a fresh oil and filter change was done as well.

This beautiful 912 is ready to enjoy and it is a very fun car to take for a cruise. The engine is peppy and the shifts between gears are smooth. The interior of the 912 is in really good condition overall. Some items were redone over the years mainly the carpets and seats. When the original carpet was pulled the floors were inspected for rust which there was none, floors were then primed and sealed before installing the new carpet. The dash, door cards, and rest of the interior is in beautiful shape with only normal age and wear showing on some switches and knobs. Everything in the 912 works, blinkers, turn signals, headlights, tails, radio, etc.. The headliner is clean and damage free and the glass is clean without notable defects. No weird smells, stains, or issues on the interior. The seats are in very good shape without any damage to note, the rear seats as expected appear unused.

The exterior of this 912 is in great condition. It was repainted at some point in the 90's and the paint presents well. There are some small rock chips but nothing out of the ordinary, no real damage on the car to note. This vehicle was fully detailed in preparation for sale and looks really good and definitely draws attention. Again, this was a California car and does not have rust. This uniquely original 912 definitely appears well cared for and the next owner will appreciate its condition. The doors close and open with a solid "pop". The bonnet and engine cover struts are all working good shape.

This Porsche with a couple small pumps of the throttle fires up its 1.6 Liter Air cooled motor without hesitation. Let it warm up a minute and you're ready to go. The engine does not smoke and does not hesitate. It accelerates with purpose through each gear and each shift. The 5spd really makes this a better vehicle to road trip or enjoy in my opinion. The brakes work well and drives and stops straight. There are no real oil leaks to note. It might drip a small amount after sitting for a few weeks maybe the size of a dime.

You would be reluctant to find a more well sorted 912 on the market, especially with all the spare parts and extra wheels and tires included.
