Very rare, not to be confused with a standard 944 Turbo
This car was only built optionally in 1988 and only came in one color, a less than ideal metallic rose color,
and then again for one year only in 1989 where you could order more desirable colors
These Turbo S cars were EXTREMELY FAST for there day,
- 165 MPH and 0-60 times in the mid 5 second range
I have owned this Porsche for several years now.
I bought it and a total of 5 0ther cars at one time at an estate sale of a wealthy collector.
It was bought along with a Ferrari Daytona, a Pre Merger AMG SEC, 1956 Lincoln MK II etc.
Upon research I found that this car has an extremely good car fax and very desirable unique features and options as ordered by the original owner.
It was my intention to have the car restored and keep it for a long term 10+ years
The car is rust free, mechanically sound, and absolutely 100% original.
Unfortunately the paint had suffered from being in the sun and the clear coat had faded to the point that we have no choice but to take the car down completely and do a brand new new PPG paint in of course the original Porsche Dove Blue color.
Please note the new owner will receive a new OEM Porsche badge for the front hood and the accompanying Turbo scripts and badges etc.
My reason for selling a simple I have just far too many cars
I have nearly 35 cars and would like to put my energy into the others.
What it needs:
- A new dash cover ($200)
- The front seats re-trimmed ($800)
- The car serviced, from simply resting with former owner ($2,000 to be safe and intelligent)
With the above in mind these turbo S cars sell all the time for between 25 and 35 depending on the quality and condition of the car.
