Up for sale is our 1974 Porsche 914 2.0.
Service records that date back to 1980 show the true appreciation and value this car has had to its past and present owner. These records show very frequent service intervals as well as acute attention to performance and appearance details. Most recently this sunflower yellow 914 has been the recipient of brand new Hankook tires, rebuilt ECU, rebuilt Map sensor, timing adjustment, rewired temp head sensor, new spark plugs and wires.
During its impeccable ownership over the years, this 914 has been restored and repainted in its factor Sunflower Yellow (L13K). It also has had the engine rebuild featuring Bosch fuel injection, and equal length exhaust headers installed for that pure racing performance and tone. Compression test shows cylinders 1 and 3 at 175lbs, cylinders 2 and 4 at 170lbs. The vinyl wrapped roll bars, chrome accents, and black bumperettes combine for a timeless design of this mid-engine classic.
Sitting inside brings you back to this car showroom days. Black vinyl wrapped seats are welcoming and comfortable. Nearly perfect salt and pepper carpet line the floor with matching floor mats. Dash shows little to no sign of aging with no cracks or tears as its wraps around the VDO instruments. The 7,000 RPM tach and 150 MPH speedo come to life with just the flick of the key. The center stacked clock, temp, and volt gauge add to the true racing feel of the car. The pioneer head unit adds a tasteful transformation of technology, and easy listening for all passengers. The top comes off and neatly stores in the rear trunk. Currently mileage on the cars shows 49,969 however it is believed to have rolled over. We are listing it as TMU.
Owner’s manual, numerous keys, car cover, and all records will be included with this 914.As to be expected with any nearly 50-year-old car there is some imperfections. The driver’s seat has a small tear in the right bolster. Just behind the passenger door is a chip in the paint. Driver side door has surface rust on the underside. The hood has one rock chip just under the front Porsche emblem. This 2.0 914 is set and ready for its next owner to enjoy the open road with.
