Description:

1976 Porsche 914

This Porsche 914 GT was re-built from it's former enemic 95 h.p. original form into a 350 h.p. screamer.

Built from the ground up to handle the explosive power of an LS-1 aluminum V-8, the end result is a totally different car than it's original 4-cylinder format.

Suspension & brakes were adapted from an '84 Porsche Carrera with it's massive front sway bar, aluminum crossmember, cross drilled & vented rotors, plus rear 200# coil springs w/ adjustable perches for ride height, over Bilstein shocks.

Exhaust is custom built stainless steel with precision welds.

The LS-1 engine from a 2000 Corvette was adapted in using Renegade Hybrids time tested LS-1 kit, including: aluminum radiator, 12" cooling fans, crossmember engine mount, cooling components, H.D. axles with 6 bolt CV's., engine/trans adaptor, etc.Clutch is 9" Kevlar. All work professionally done.

Hi-torque starter...Odyssey Extreme battery .

Originally Porsche 914 L-80 light ivory... car was fully repainted in 911 Grand Prix white.

Transaxle was rebuilt / modified with 1st gear lockout & taller 4th / 5th gears.

Original Gm computer was replaced with the FI Tech LS-1 unit which allows for remote programming.

Fuel is delivered through 2 pumps: a low pressure pump below the fuel tank pushes fuel back through a new s.s. line to the high pressure pump near the engine. Fuel pressure is managed thru a Aermotive adjustable regulator, then back to the tank thru 2nd s.s. line. This 2-pump system is similar to what Porsche used on the 930 Turbo's.

Interior is in like new condition. Radio delete dash makes room for 3 VDO gauges plus 3 rocker switches for fuel pump & 2 x 12" radiator cooling fans. E-brake works perfect. Pedal cluster was rebuilt & a 19mm master cylinder added.

Front end has LE spoiler plus dual Pilot high intensity driving lamps.

This is a zero rust, undamaged car with butt welded steel wheel flairs, 205 & 225/50 x 15 Kuhmo Ecsta radials on7 & 8"Fuchs alloy wheels.

Pictures do not do this car justice. I really hope you have time to come & see it & go over the car with me. You will be as proud as I to own this one. It has a wide, low aggressive stance with slightly neg. cambered rear wheels. 44" high roof is only 4" higher than Porsche's fabled 917 race car !

Very much a drivers car. Aggressive, but manageable... elegant !

Car is located in Pearce, A, about 70 miles S.E. of Tucson. Please call me if you have any questions.
