Award-Winning 3+ year meticulous restoration to showroom/concours standards with over $50K in receipts not including labor. Matching #'s Karmann Coupe built 05/15/1968. Most of life in SoCal low desert, Odometer showed 53,506 at start of restoration, now 59,100. Over 3000 photos of nut/bolt/bare metal restoration process with "restore/preserve rather than replace" as emphasis. Date-correct/Period correct parts used. COA, Kardex, tool kit, jack, manuals, brochures, etc. All components inspected from top to bottom. Rebuilt original engine & 5 speed transmission (stock specs), suspension & brakes (PMB), Solex split-shaft carbs (John Truman), Interior work -(K&H European Interiors) but much original, 5 -15x5.5 Fuchs wheels restored, respray with 5 coats single stage paint (#6804 as per COA) Wasp Automotive, Blaupunkt Frankfurt US "Z" AM/FM/SW with blue tooth streaming, Hella 128 fog lights, countless additional components given attention. Won 1st/2nd at 8 concours events in last 18 months with 324.2 of possible 325 points for 1st Place at Dana Point "White Glove" Full Concours event last month.
