Description:
1994 Porsche 968
Here is my 1994 Porsche 968 hardtop. Enjoyable machine.Runs great.6 speed transmission shifts as it should.AC blows cold. The exterior paint shows well and still shines great.Usual light scratches (patina) all over but nothing offensive or that couldnt be rubbed out. Some rubber valance gaskets have shrunk and could use new rubber - a common problem due to shrinking over time. There are a few areas on rear bumper and side valance that were touched up by previous owner. Like most metallic silver touch up, the silver is not an exact match but is apparently better than the parking lot scuffs that were there before. If I kept the car I might have considered having the bumper re-shot.I tried to catch these areas in the pictures but it's really difficult. Much more obvious in person.
I can remove my Rossi "46" sticker upon sale if wished.
The car was lowered by the previous owner and larger 17" club sport wheels were added. I installed new Yokohama tires - near new and still under warranty.Due to the lowering the front valance grill portion (not the surround) has some cracks and I am including a genuine porsche new grill - see picture.
The interior is very nice with the only bummer being seveal hairline cracks on the dash. I added the dash mat to prevent future deterioration and to hide the splits. The seats are perfect. Carpet is nice and not sunfaded.
Everything works as it should except the CD player. Radio works.
Sunroof electrics work and the unit locks and disengages as it should.
Windows all operate.
No warning lights activated on dash.
Odometer broke at 78599 miles. VERY common on these cars due to plastic gears failing. I have a new plastic gear kit but have not installed it. The previous owner took it into to the shop after just after this happened to have it fixed but then sold the car to me after they diagnosed the issue - so I blieve the car is within 4K miles of odo but I can't guarantee the mileage so bid accordingly.
The car does not burn oil or blow smoke. No leaks. Pulls strong in all gears. I recently drove it to our ski area at 10000 feet and it performed flawlessly. It is a super twisty road and the car handles like it is on rails.
It appears to have a period stainless steel german aftermarket exhaust. It is not loud or obnoxious.
I believe you can fly in and drive home in this car. I can pick you up from airport. Everything is currently working as it should.
The prior owner kept no history ( I know I know - I keep records!) so I went through and had the car aligned, fresh oil/filter, new tires, new motor mounts, new wipers.
I'm a car guy but hate detailing - so if that is your thing I apologize! The car smells clean - no cigarette smells.
This is the option list that I ordered online for the true enthusiast:058 Impact absorbers front and rear

Anyway - no reserve! These hardtop versions are sought after due to the limited production, the fact they are pure porsche built in the Stutgart facility and have a large aluminum 3.0 six speed 4 cylinder.
sold as-is where-is no warranties all sales final - please see my excellent feedback.THIS IS AN OLD CAR - THINGS WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL. If driving it home sign up for AAA. I'm an optimist but you never know with old cars - there is always a bit of russian roulette anything from a fuse blowing to a water pump failing - you never know.I wish I could tell you more - feel free to ask questions.

By the way, I may consider full or partial trade for a CLASSIC motorcycle. This can be a sportbike or standard but no full dressers or dirt bikes. I'm particular so you just have to ask.We would have to agree on what you have and the trade value towards the final bid price before you bid to win. However, cash is king but I thought to mention my other hobby which takes up much less space in the garage!
