1987 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet Original & G50

1987 Porsche 911

Purchased new at Porsche of the Palm Beaches by an attorney for his wife, this one owner G50 Cabriolet never left the West Palm Beach area. Lovingly maintained, it retains its original Grand Prix white paint and blue interior. A new top was installed recently and the car has been fully serviced.

The air conditioning works properly as does the optional electric top (a receipt shows new diode and work on this unit). There is a later Pioneer stereo in place, but professionally installed with no hacking or errant wires. The interior presents as excellent with no tears or signs of abuse. Gauges are clear and the working odometer shows just over 85k original miles.

As expected, the 3.2 liter engine and G50 gearbox operate flawlessly. Some minor "hunting" when the engine is started cold, but it quickly settles into a stable idle. The motor is dry and the does not smoke.

All body panels retain the original VIN tags and there are no signs of any damage on the car. It does appear that the front bumper was painted and there is scuff on the bottom right of the front valance. The rear center reflector does have several very minor scratches, but no chips or cracks.

This Carrera is tight and solid. It drives as only a very well maintained original car can. No squeaks, rattles, or noticeable cowl shake. The car retains the original tools and manuals.
