1953 Porsche 356 Coupe has been highly modified in the "OUTLAW" flavor - car has had been converted to Type IV VW power with a custom built 2.7 ltr. high performance type 4 VW engine.Dual webers, Upright fan with 993 fan and alternator and upright fan housing. A VW swing axel gearbox with a Berg 5 speed conversion has also been fitted.The factory front suspension and full Porsche brakes are still present and a modified rear suspension that no longer uses torsion bars has been adapted to the body. A full custom interior with Recaro seats and modern gauges round out the cockpit.A custom aluminum fuel tank with thru the body filler occupies the front trunk.This car is full of neat details some may be your choice others not.A wheel backdate, speedster seats, gauge backdate, beehive tailights are just some the items that could easily be done to put your signature on it.

In the interest of full disclosure we feel the car needs a completely new transmission - a persistent issue with transmission noise and 3 attempts by one of the top transmission builders in the country have left my client frustrated and ready to move on.The engine has a couple of odd oil leaks that should be addressed as well.Outside of these issues the car runs and drives very well and a short list of items found after purchase have been addressed.
