Description:

1972 Porsche 914

Here is a 1972 Porsche 914. This car has been in storage since 1997 and does have a clean open Kansas Title. I can provide a Bill of sale if needed.
At one time I think this car was a nice looking car. If you need more pics please email me I have lots more. These are good little cars and are I feel a good investment we all know the air cooled 911's are not going down in price and these are going up as well.
Now for the details:The Motor is a 1.7 it is out of the car and will need to be rebuilt. Transmission is the better 1973 model & was told from the previous owner to be good. The car has rust in the usual places that the 914 is known for. The floor pans look good and battery area looks ok but other places are a bit more rough like around drivers side front bumper, rear of deck lid, door jambs, the trunk area looks ok I've seen worse, sails have bubbles etc. It does have the fiberglass flares that were put on in the early 90's look like the need cleaning up. The fuel injection system, along with some parts some from other cars and some from it, some good some bad are included and in the trunk. It does have the Cookie Cutter Porsche wheels. The spare is also the same style. I would like to point out that the wheel on the driver's front that has the black outer rim is actually the spare. The one that is in the trunk matches the other 3 that have the aluminum outer rim as shown on the car. 2 of these are slightly wider than the other 2.The car does roll however, all the tires are too bad to hold air.The bumpers all look really nice. The interior doesn't look to bad, it does have the cracked dash that is typical. The door panels look good if you put a speaker in the holes, the drivers seat has some tape on it but looks decent. The car is equipped with the dealer option A/C. Compressor is in the car.All the glass looks good except for the front windshield, it has lots of cracks (please see pics) It is not permanently installed, only duct taped in to keep any water out since it is now out of storage. A mouse has chewed a little on the wires in a front trunk area.It does not have any keys or a ignition switch. I Have lots of pics if you need more.
I have done my best to describe this car to the best of my knowledge. I do not want to mislead any one and the car would need a lot of good parts and new parts to look good again so its not for the beginner project for sure. This car could be restored maybe a good candidate for a renegade or a 914-6 build? Or maybe you need a parts car?
