1987 Porsche 911 Cabriolet

Listed for sale is a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet in terrific original condition. This air cooled cabrio spent nearly all its life in Arizona and otherwise mild southern states. The car shows a clean and thorough carfax, which is available upon request.

Its engine was rebuilt at 105k miles.

The vehicle is in terrific mechanical condition and similarly excellent cosmetic condition.

This is a matching numbers car and also has an all original interior. The paint appears to be original and is the original Venetian Blue paint color. There are a couple of minor spots on the front fascia that have been touched up as is typical (with a touch up pen). Interior color seems to be full leather linen. These later air cooled cars were galvanized and therefore, this 911 is unbelievably rust free. It has also been garaged since day 1.

The car was purchased from Porsche of Scottsdale in 1987 (and the original information is still listed in the car's warranty packet). It stayed in Arizona until 2005 and was then lived in Virginia and Georgia until 2013. The most recent owner purchased it from a dealer in Georgia in 2013 and brought the car to Pennsylvania at that point. The car was not driven in snow and was serviced at Porsche of Conshohocken (Don Rosen Imports). In both Georgia and Virginia, the car was serviced frequently at performance/exotics auto shops. Intersport Performance in McLean, VA and Ryland Imports in Marietta, GA.

The car comes with the original Porsche Blaupunkt radio and also its original steering wheel. Both are easily swappable. The current setup is a very premium ALPINE radio/stereo and MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, with leather wrapping. Someone was very wise in upgrading, as they used excellent equipment, but kept the original spec items.The cabriolet top was also recently replaced and appears like new. Same goes with the cabriolet cover.
