Up for sale is my 1978 Porsche 911sc Targa. This car has been in my family for 25+ years and has never seen snow, salt, or hardly even rain. The paint shines like new with only a hand-full of stone chips. About 5 years ago, the flat 6 was removed and a freshly built all aluminum LS1 V8 was installed. All work was professionally done and the car is not hacked up. The engine was fully rebuilt including cylinder resurface, brand new crank, all bearings and seals, high compression pistons, hi lift cam, ls6 instake manifold, and tuned for the build. all emission components were removed. Engine puts out about 500hp. The engine is mated to a recently rebuilt 915 5-speed transaxle with a brand helical limited slip differential and a new complete clutch. The LS engine is all aluminum and is actually lighter than a fully dressed 911 flat 6.
The car has many other performance accessories including but not limited to adjustable Bilstein adjustable shocks, adjustable strut tower brace, 944 turbo 4 piston calipers and rotors, Recaro seats, 5 pt harnesses, bolt in cage, brand new tires, and I am sure i'm forgetting some.
All modifications done to the car are reversible should someone want. Their are no structural / or permanent modifications done to the car.
The car itself has about 124k and the engine / conversion has around 3-4k
Well over $30k invested and most parts were sourced from Renegade Hybrids who specializes in Porsche LS conversions. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive and makes a great driver or possibly a track car.
