  • With interest in the original 1970s Porsche 911 Targa models remaining strong, the 1975 edition offered here has been subjected to a unique-and-attractive upgrading, making it a modern standout among the existing examples. Done professionally at a cost of more than $100,000, the most visual of these adaptations is the wide-body slant-nose conversion, the so-called “Flachbau” special-order components that had first shown up in the 1981 model catalog. Beginning with the body stripped to bare metal and then rebuilt using the special front and body components from Blackburn and Daley ALL Aluminum, this Targa was updated in many other ways beneath its Ermine White exterior. Under the hood is an air-cooled H6 design, but in this instance, power comes from the 3.6L VarioRam engine sourced from a Porsche 993 Completely Rebuilt and Tuned To 450HP,. This engine used the variable-length intake runners, and it is considered the ultimate naturally aspirated version of the 911 engine releases. It has been beautifully retrofitted into the confines of the circa-1975 engine compartment. Behind this 450 HP engine is the racing-derived 915-series 5-speed gearbox and a new clutch, with a limited-slip differential completing the driveline. Suspension has come a long way since 1975, and the car’s undercarriage and chassis hosts 4-corner Koni shocks, a set of 22mm Tarett Engineering sway bars, 21/28mm torsion bars, Turbo-model tie-rod ends and large Brembo calipers and ventilated rotors on all four corners. These are visible through the 18-inch Forgeline wheels, which wear sticky 225/ZR18 Sumitomo HTR Z III tires. However, driving improvements are not the only thing this special motorcar features. With the rear seat deleted, the sound system is upgraded with an extensive Kenwood stereo with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, an Audison LR 6.9 6-channel amplifier and multiple speakers added throughout the interior. Black bucket seats, a Momo steering wheel, refined gauges and power accessories add to the pleasures of this Porsche. This 911 T is a Blast to Drive and could be Driven from Arizona to New York with No Issues, Well Maybe a Few Speeding Tickets. LOL. California Smog Legal and 50 State Legal.
