Description:
1970 Porsche 911
I am selling my 1970 911T with many extra valuable factory pieces. This car started as a non-sunroof 1970 911 T out of the Karmann builder that was converted back in the 1980's to a hot rod turbo look car with all factory Porsche parts. It was a well-executed build and the panels and gaps are in excellent shape. There is "patina" now on the Mexico blue paint not truly visible in all the pictures, but it still looks great and adds to the "outlaw" aspect of the car with only minor chips, a couple dings from use and Father time. The motor was upgraded at the time with a built and very fast 911 S 2.4 engine and added Weber carbs for improved fuel and air intake and sport exhaust. The car sounds amazing and reflects why many of us became Porsche fans to begin with. The motor runs strong, doesn't drop oil or smoke. Carbs just were gone through at great expense. This motor is "it" when you are talking early long nose narrow body cars and these motors alone are worth lots of money, and a great base to build a nice early Porsche around. A 915 5 spd transmission was also provided as an update and to handle the additional power (1972 vintage). It will come with the 9 + 11" wheels (BBS Porsche Mesh seen in photos, rare and worth$$) that are in excellent condition. For Buy it Now price I will include the second set of wheels (see pictures) which are original 8 and 9" Fuchs with brand new tires which are trading in $5k plus range these days and the following extras: 3 sets of seats. 1 Currently installed standard 72-73 tan seats in excellent condition ($3k). 2. Porsche mid 80's sports seats, power seats in covered nice condition which would go nicely with the current configuration ($2.5k value). 3. Standard 74-89 style seats in black (see photos- they are out of the car already). The body has the red ducktail currently installed. The black ducktail also goes with the car seen in the photos and is MA Shaw. A steel black engine grille also goes with the car., along with a steel mesh hot rod version. The flares are all steel, well executed turbo style on the car, as are all the factory bumpers etc...The car will need some minor body repair at the base of the passenger side window where there is some bubbling from rust. There have also been rust repairs on the driver's side floor with straight steel panel replacement. There is a roll bar and built-in stereo system in the rear of the car. The engine on this car is worth almost the asking price alone. Depending on which way the new owner would like to go this could be a great basis for backdating the update, and selling all the factory parts for $$, or drive as is and get it dialed in with body and mechanicals and have a real fun early Porsche 911 that is unique and road worthy. If you want an early 911 custom, this could be the one. Please email me with any questions and thank you for looking.Vehicle Details:
