This 1955Porsche Spyder is a beautiful replica made by BECK! The car James Dean loved and died in.The car was ordered by its 1st owner in 1991. Once ordered it took 2 years to build this car on Beck's own assembly linein Brazil!Once complete the car was delivered to the 1st owner in Arizona where is stayed until 2002.This car is titled as a 1955!The car was then relocated to Chicago where the 2nd owner loved thiscar until we purchased in 2014.This is an original factory built hand laid fiberglass body! Whichmeans more durable and better looking in our opinion. Ithas been garaged its whole life and has never seen any weather other than the best! This car is mechanically sound and drives very well! Built on a factory 3" tube frame attached a an all aluminum pan to make this car the closest replica you can get!Outfitted with a dual port 1600cc VWboxer engine with dual Dellarto carbs, ype 1 manual transmission, -2-1 exhaust,and drum brakes all the way around. Its interior is a beautiful red leather with a Nardi 3 spoke wooden steering wheel to set this car over the top! This car doeshave a Panasonic stereo with cd/radio/mp3 to make this cara little more modern.It also has very nice chrome 5 wide wheels with good tires.This carodometer is displayed in kilometers, hich equates to about 8500 miles.We installed some beautiful leather straps on the bonnet of this car to also enhance the nostalgic lookof this car. This car is used and has been driven so its not perfect. Its beyond beautiful but does have some veryminor chips in the paint. There are 3 that are the size of a pencil eraser.We took this car to a Porsche dealer and they had to ask if the car was real or not! The last onetheysawadvertised for sale, old for3.5 million! So this car is awesome for what it has to offer! Once we purchased this car we went through the carvery welland founda fewthings that needed to be repaired. The following items have been addressed.
