1977 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera 3.0

This is a very correct, original and unmolested car, and has been lovingly maintained over the years;

she remains in wonderful condition. She was owned by a retired, very well respected, Naval Captain most of her life. She has extensive maintenance records and has been lovingly maintained her entire life. This iconic car is in her original silver, and is stunning both cosmetically and mechanically. She offers the performance that only a first-generation TURBO can offer. The car is stock with the exception of an upgraded ignition system. The silver paint is gorgeous, with deep shine and lustre. Inside, the black leather interior is in good condition with supple leather and only minor wear and a lovely patina throughout the car. This quality extends to the carpets as well. The dash is in exceptional original condition which is often an issue with early leather dashed turbos. The correct and original FUCHS wheels are in excellent condition and are wrapped in Pilot Sport A/S Plus which have about 95% tread remaining. She retains her correct and original “sugar scoop” headlights as well as the snorkel headlight washers and non-intercooler rear whale tale. The engine has been rebuilt within the last 10,000 miles and she has steel head studs. She is amazingly fast and dynamic to drive. She comes with her COA, records, all books and manuals. They are only original once, and this is a unique opportunity to own one of the most iconic cars ever produced. Feel free to askClassic Car Club of Miamiwith any and all of your questions.

History of the Porsche 930 Turbo

The first-generation Turbos were introduced to the US market in 1976 and became instant icons in the world of supercars. The poster child of a wide fendered, low sitting powerhouse that inspired many to dream and few to actual own. With only 727 units produced for the U.S. market the 1977 Turbo was, by far, the most expensive and exclusive car out of Stuttgart in 1977 and indeed a potent contender for the title of the fastest production sports car in the world. Legendary are the stories of weekend warriors finding themselves spinning in a vicious circle as they were somewhat careless flooring the gas pedal not knowing when and how brutal the turbo boost would kick in. A legitimate question today is how many original cars have survived?
