This gorgeous Blue 1985 911 is a local car that has spent nearly 17 years here in sunny Georgia. The car was previously in Louisiana and later sold to a gent in Texas. The same owner in 2001 moved to our Peach State and the car remained here ever since.
The overall condition of this vehicle is extremely nice. The glistening Iris Blue paint is in superb condition and there are no signs of dents. The gaps are perfect and all the moldings, rubber trims, and gaskets arefresh.The car has no rust and has never been in an accident.
The interior is in very nice shape as well and everythinghasbeen well preserved. The car still retains the lingering vintage smell that has always beena big part of the Porsche experience.
Mechanically, the car is very solid. The 3.2-litre engine has great output and pulls strong like a Porsche motor should. The 915 gearbox does not miss a beat as it has been fully rebuilt only 500 miles ago. The clutch engages properly. The car handles excellent, and thebrakes stop straight and true.
The car is also fitted with brand new GoodYear “Eagle GT” tires.
Overall, this ’85 Carrera is an outstanding car. The low mileage shows that the car has been pampered, but driven enough to keep everything working and lubricated. Nice shaped 3.2-litre coupes in rare colors are becoming harder to find, and this mid-year, air-cooled classic has all the ingredients to be an impeccable investment.
