Description:

1961 Porsche 356 B coupe

I removed this 356B from a barn owned by an old IMSA/SCCA friend. Built in the 1980,s by Jay Putnam and Alan Howes in Ct. I have pictures as found and a 4 min. video of 80 yr. old driver explaining the car and said it was a 2 time SCCA champ car in EP . I have a COA and a Title, but log books are long gone. SCCA stamp on cage # 022 1367.All steel ca, I removed rear fiberglass bodywork and installed a original 61B rear clip. Welding done by John Plecity of Highcroft racing fame. Bodywork is just OK and original racing "patina" has been saved. Full coil over car with heavy frt. spindles, good gearbox in the car and a complete set of short "Limerock" gears included.Big bore 912 case and most of the gofast engine parts are here for re work and assembly as needed. Vin Tags still on the car and the frt. hood still has numbers to vin, amazing. This is a rust free, but well used piece of racing history for someone to finish.Boxes of other parts, seat, fire bottle, clutch, flywheel etc all go with the car. More pics if needed. 203 300 0940
