Description:

1982 Porsche 911 930 Turbo

Contact me of the VIN please. eBay seems to have issues, which prevent its revelation. Beautiful 1983 Porsche 930/911 Turbo. Always garaged. Documents for the past 15 years. New shocks/struts, brake master cylinder, discs, pads and clutch in 2004 with 57,778 miles. Now has 68,784 miles. Other than a new clutch in 2014, most the records are for regular maintenance and minor repairs. I am happy to email these documents upon request. The best way I could describe the color is sort of a midnight, metallic, sapphire blue. The original paint is still present in the engine walls, luggage compartment and door jams, which is a lighter blue with a bit more grey.

The car runs and drives flawlessly and has a current C.T. (Controle Technique), which is a very strict safety check all cars must pass to remain legal for road use. The chassis and body are checked for rust. The tires, suspension, shocks, steering are all checked including the rubber bushings—no excessive wear or leaks (shocks) will pass. All brakes must operate evenly and as factory intended, including the handbrake. The lights, signals, wipers, seatbelts and all other related safety equipment must function as original. The exhaust is checked for leaks, smoke or abnormal pollution. This can serve as a pre-PPI. However, there is a Porsche dealership nearby, so if you would like a pre-purchase inspection done (at your cost), I will make the appointment for you (unless you speak French and want to schedule it yourself), in which case, I can provide you with the details of location and contact info.

Cars like this were not generally abused in Europe, as was often the case during the 90’s in the US. Also, any special interest car is used far less in France, hence, the low miles. Although the engine is not matching numbers, it is the correct year 3.3L removed from another 1983 930 and had 49,708 miles (visible in records in 2004) and at the time, the car had about 58k miles.

I have owned around fifty Porsches and know where to look for accident evidence. Both sides of the inside walls of the engine compartment, engine support tunnels and inside rear panels still have original paint and show absolutely no sign of damage (also noted on the official evaluation), repair or any other change since 1983. The trunk is the same. Inside fender walls, inside nose panel, spare tire pan have the original paint and show no signs of any repair. While it’s possible that the car may have received a dent in a fender or door over the past 33 years, the ‘tub’ has never been touched. This car has no rust either.
