This meant the Buick Centurian, ldsmobile 88, nd Chevrolet Caprice would be among the list retired in drop top form. The oil embargo and high fuel prices had its toll on consumers, o large cars with big engines were coming to an sad end. For this reason, ver at Pontiac they decided for the final year of the Grandville to be issued the smaller 400ci V8 as standard equipment and the 455ci V8 optional for the first time. It would be called the Grandville Brougham, arking the end of the top-of-the-line series forever, nd loaded with standard options! These included power disc brakes, ower steering, ower windows, urbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission, nd carpeted trunk.

And selling at $2,000 above average MSRP, t was a huge premium for the day! Even with a trade in, he original owner must have struggled with the monthly payment of $206 every month making only the first four before trading the car back to the original dealer to resell again. By March or 1976, t sold again with 17,740 miles to another Illinois buyer, gain at a premium pre-owned price of $5,500.
