I am pleased to offer this Special Edition Y82 1977 “Smokey and the Bandit” Trans Am. Features all the right options – T-Tops, AC, Hurst shifter 4 speed, 400 cu. in. 6.6L engine and even a facsimile signature of Burt Reynolds on the glove box. VIN # is 2W87Z7N185332 and mileage is 80,xxx +/- miles.

The current owner purchased the car in Sept. 2023 and had the car “gone over” by a shop in the area. The shop did a slew of work on the car to make it safe and reliable. Total spent at that time was a bit over $20,000. See the recap of the work in the pics area. Good news – this is money that the new owner will not need to spend.

According to the owner, the engine is not original to the car but came from a similar ’77 Trans Am. He also notes that the AC does not blow cold. Car has always been garaged during his ownership.

Personal Observations:

I had the pleasure to photograph and videotape this classic ’77 Tran Am. The car starts right up and sounds great and performs as it should. I noticed some cosmetic flaws that are worth mentioning:

– Some of the gaps are uneven and larger than expected – could be due to new weatherstripping – see pictures

– The chicken on the hood should be more vivid gold. It may have faded or was replaced with the wrong chicken

– Overall good condition – just detailed including the engine. Not a show car and consistent with its age. Will turn heads however at the next car show that it attends.
