This classic Ventura has all the right stuff…a powerful Pontiac V8 350 with a 4 barrel Holley, brand new dual exhaust, bucket seats with a floor shifter, tach and full gauges, Pontiac Rally II wheels, BF Goodrich Radial TA's, and this Ventura has been further enhanced with the rare GTO shaker hood and scoop with "Ram Air" call outs, a pair of GTO grills, GTO door panel badges, and the full GTO decal package making this a nice GTO tribute.

Cons:

Paint and body is nice but not show quality..up close you can see imperfections.

Interior shows decent but is not perfect.

Some interior panels are brittle from age.

Window sweeps are old and cracking.

There have been rust repairs in the past and filler is present.

Passenger door bottom metal repairs.

Front and rear floor boards had some rust issues but have been metal repaired.

Wipers and horn non functional.

Heater core and blower were removed at some point.

Manual drum brakes are a bit stiff but are functional, pedal is high and firm.

Ignition key is a little tricky but works.

Power steering moans sometimes.

Dash pad has sone cracks.

Door seals are missing.

Bucket seat adjusters need repair.

Rear seat could use some upholstery work.

All in all not bad for being 51 years old.

This Ventura starts right up and runs excellent and very smooth. It’s not a perfect show car but it’s a perfect car to drive and enjoy. The car had rust repairs in the past in the common areas such as bottom of the fenders, bottom of the doors, floor pans, trunk spare area. The subframe, frame rails, and rocker panels are all very clean and solid. The pinch welds on the rockers are beautiful. The wheel lips are all very nice. Overall, this is a fun reliable car that can be enjoyed and improved upon while you are driving it and using it.

A lot of the rare and hard-to-find parts are there…the 1 year only GTO hood, the rare GTO scoop, the hard to find GTO grills.

You can drive this dependable Ventura around and enjoy it while you source out more parts to add and work on it in your leisure…which is a much better scenario than having it sit in your garage collecting dust until you can get to it.

The Pontiac V8 engines of this era were externally the same dimension and close to the same weight so any Pontiac 400 or 455 V8 engine is an easy swap.

Being a GM X-Body platform ( Same as Chevy Nov, Buick Apollo, and Olds Omega) the drivetrain and suspension parts are readily available and budget friendly.

The Hatchback shade tent with poles is included for hanging out at car shows or camping....it’s really fun for kids and great for weekend getaways.
