COMPLETE HOLLY SNIPER BREATHER SYSTEM. DUAL FANS. HEDMAN HEDDERS. HEAVY DUTY TRUCK AXLE ON REAR. PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING UNDERNEATH IS NEW / UPGRADED. ORIGINAL ROCKFORD FILES PAINT CODE. ALL CLEAN ORIGINAL SHEET METAL. ADULT OWNED AND ALWAYS GARAGED. NEVER DRIVEN IN RAIN OR SNOW OR EXCESSIVE HEAT OR EXCESSIVE COLD. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. ICE COLD VINTAGE AIR CONDITIONED. RUNS WELL ON PUMP GAS IF YOU BUY PREMIUM. RUNS AND DRIVES BUT IS NOT COMPLETELY ROAD READY. I LOST MY MECHANIC / BUILDER BEFORE HE WAS TOTALLY FINISHED. THE POWER STEERING IS UNHOOKED AND THE IDLE AND CARB NEED TO BE ADJUSTED / FINE TUNED AND IF THAT GETS DONE, I THINK SHE WILL BE READY TO FLY.THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAILLIGHTS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED TO EITHER XENON OR LED, NOT SURE WHICH AND I WOULDN'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE OTHER THAN THEY ARE CRISP AND BRIGHT AS YOU KNOW WHAT. THE CAR ALSO HAS ELECTRONIC IGNITION AND A SUPER TUNER GISMO IN THE CABIN SO SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING CAN PROBABLY USE THAT TO FINE TUNE EVERYTHING. INTERIOR IS PERFECT AND STOCK. AROUND $50K INVESTED BUT I DIDN'T KEEP THE RECEIPTS. I WILL TRY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AS BEST AS I CAN BUT I AM NOT A MECHANIC AND THE TRUTH IS I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS. (I'm more of a motorcycle guy) I JUST KNOW I'VE SPENT TOO MUCH ON THIS ONE SO I'M PULLING THE PLUG AND HOPEFULLY I CAN GET THIS CAR INTO THE HANDS OF AN ADULT WHO CAN TURN WRENCHES AND FINISH THE PROJECT. I DO KNOW FROM TEST DRIVING IT ONLY A FEW MILES SINCE THE REBUILD IT IS NOT FOR AN INEXPERIENCED DRIVER. THIS CAR LOOKS LIKE A NORMAL FIREBIRD BUT HAS MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE POWER. MR. GARNER IS PROBABLY UP IN HEAVEN LOOKING DOWN AT ME WONDERING WHAT I WAS THINKING. SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNING BIDDER BUT I WILL ASSIST AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE PAYPAL. FULL PAYMENT REQUIRED WITHIN 7 BUSINESS DAYS OF END OF AUCTION. I WILL ACCEPT A BANK CASHIER'S CHECK OR WIRE TRANSFER. WHEN MY BANK VERIFIES FUNDS, I WILL SEND THE SIGNED / NOTARIZED TITLE TO THE WINNING BIDDER VIA UPS OR USPS PRIORITY, WITH INSURANCE, AT WHICH TIME THE WINNING BIDDER MAY ARRANGE SHIPPING. THIS CAR IS IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA. YOUTUBE VIDEOfirebird 8 30 (youtube.com)update 9-12-24: I just want to be clear that this car is not drivable (in my opinion) until the power steering is put back together, the brakes are serviced / bled, and the idle and carb are tuned. When I was taking the video, I had to hold the gas pedal down a little to keep it running while my friend walked from the engine bay to the tail pipes with the camera. It currently won't idle on it's own for more than a few seconds. This is probably something a good mechanic can fix in about a minute, but with the new high performance engine I don't even know what screw to turn and I don't want to make it worse. Also; the car is currently in a storage unit where a tractor-trailer or long truck probably won't fit. The initial transport of the car may need to be by a single-car trailer or tow type truck and may need to be pulled onto the trailer. It may be difficult to drive it onto a transport vehicle. This car will make someone a great hotrod / collector / show car, or even an everyday driver if the buyer knows how to tune old-school mechanical cars. This car is for sale as-is with no warranties and hopefully can be completed, tuned, and enjoyed by a responsible adult with the right know-how. The car has older Goodyear Eagle 2 tires with lots of tread but a few age cracks that are barely visible on the sidewall. They hold air well and have always been inside when not in use. A couple of people have told me I don't have enough rubber on the ground for the amount of horsepower the car now puts out, but I left the original wheels on it because I wanted to maintain the stock appearance. An experienced driver can most likely drive it without tire spin if the accelerator pedal is used with care.
