1979 Pontiac Grand Prix

Decided to thin out the herd! Too many cars! Selling my 1979 Pontiac Grand Prix, this has been one of my project cars for about the past 5 years. When I bought the car it was all original and in very nice clean original condition. It was brown with tan color interior. Purchased from relative of original elderly owner (paid 7k). What attracted me to the car was the super straight body (no rust or dents anywhere) and the low miles. The car was and always has been garaged. The first thing I did was get rid of the brown, paid reputable body shop $3000 to repaint the car black including door jams and trunk area. Also paid them to remove all chrome trim and bodywork trim mount holes. Had windows tinted professionally. Swapped out the original steel rims with hubcaps with nice set of vintage mags (new tires last year). Never had to touch the original 301 engine other than regular service, it runs great and never gave me any problems whatsoever. Smooth quiet running motor. The original turbo 350 shifts perfect. Car runs and drives smoothly down the road with one finger on the wheel. The car is tagged/ insured and driven on occasion (removed plate for photos). Recently I started on swapping the original interior over to bucket / console. I removed the front bench 60/40 seat and installed a set of nice black buckets from a 84 Monty Carlo (was in process of locating a console). This is pretty much where I’m at with the car, the interior needs finished. The dash is perfect no cracks and all original gauges work. I removed the original carpet and trim pieces (All pieces are present and in trunk except for original carpet). Basically what needs to be done to finish the car is new carpet and paint trim pieces/reinstall. I was going to buy new black door panels for it ($500). Basically the car looks great and drives great but needs interior finished, I’ve lost interest. Everything works on the car exactly as it should, lights, wipers, horn, etc. even the door chime works. Car has factory AC but does not currently blow cold. I purchased a new door seal rubber kit that has not yet been installed (will be included). All the interior pieces I removed are in the car. Car is complete and missing nothing except the reverse lens that go in rear bumper and the rubber trim that goes on the rear bumper. Both bumpers are perfect no dents and chrome is nice. There, that’s about all I can say about it. Nice car for the right person who’s not afraid to finish a little more work. My wife and I have successfully sold 2 other classic cars on eBay that were shipped across multiple states and the transaction went smooth. Going for a 3rd! Over 10k invested. Feel free to message with any other questions.
