Vehicle Details

Here's a chance to own a modern collectable at a discount! This is a rare 1992 Richard Petty Grand Prix, 1 of only 1000 ever produced, and 1 of only 90 5 speed manuals made, making it a true survivor with only 53k original miles.

This Grand Prix is equipped with the 3.4l DOHC v6 mated to a Getrag 284 5 speed manual transmission giving it the increased 210hp and 7k redline spec. Additionally this car comes in with the rare 4 wheel ABS disc brake option.

The car runs and drives no problem and is still taken out on nice days. Under my ownership the following has been done:

- New Clutch in 2019

- New Plugs & Wires in 2023

- New Starter in 2023

- Oil and Filter Change in 2023

- New Batery in 2024

- New Air Cleaner in 2024

Why is the car being offered at a discount? While this Grand Prix is a solid driver, to be 100% the following will need to be addressed:

- Rear Hub Assemblies and Brakes (ABS inop due to bad hub sensor)

- 3rd Gear Syncro (grinds 80% of the time when enganging)

- Drivers Window Track (stops going up in spots without help)

- Cam Belt and Guides (original parts)

- Tires (good tread but over 10 years old)

- Fuel Level Sending Unit (gauge works fine but low fuel light always on)

- A/C serviced (inop)

- Cruise Control serviced (inop)

- Pass Side Rear Lamp Assembly (cracked)

- Pass Side Mirror (mirror glass is loose in housing)

- PDR & Paint (hood has some dents & typical GM clear coat peeling)

Yhis isn't your typical 30+ year old car, this is an investment collectable and quite possibly one of the last running 5 speed Richard Petty Edition cars left in existence.
