This 1966 Pontiac GTO POST COUPE is a classic collector car with a powerful 389 engine and an automatic transmission. With 82,166 miles on the odometer, this car has been well-maintained and is in excellent running condition. The exterior is a beautiful red and the interior is black, with features such as AM/FM stereo, CD player, air conditioning, split bench seat, and alloy wheels. This Pontiac GTO has had four previous owners and is left-hand drive with RWD. The car has a clean title and has not been registered overseas. This GTO is privately owned with a CLEAN CA title and current CA registration in owner's name. It is NOT a dealer offered car. It remains in my garage under a cover in the Bay Area in California. Original 389 engine was rebuilt sometime before 1998, the last receipt on record. The original 2spd automatic was also upgraded at that time with a TH350 automatic transmission. Front disc brakes & air conditioning were also added in the early 2000's and are in excellent working order. Owner just upgraded front suspension with new springs, shocks, alignment and tires. Rear shocks also new. Rear tires on American Racing rims are 215/70r/15; front tires are 215/65r/15. Car was originally Martinique Bronze and color changed to Montero Red sometime in the 1990's, so being a 30+yo paint job, the paint is thin in areas. No rust can be found on this SOLID original California black plate car. There is slight cracking atop the left rear quarter panel where an antenna may have been. GTO was built in Fremont and has never been anywhere but California. The license plates are original to the car; this means it has been registered annually (with no interruption) since 1966. The car appears to have been stripped to metal and resprayed in it's current red, as no evidence of it's original bronze is present, including trunk, jams & doors.
