1950 Pontiac Silver Streak

Runs and drives well.

268ci (4.4L) straight 8.

3 on the tree transmission.

2508D body style (fast back).

12 volt converted.

Body in good shape with very little rust under rocker panels.

Newer tires (less than 6,000 miles).

Registered and titled in California. Clean and in my hand.

I drove this car from Fredericksburg, VA to Julian, CA in September 2022. There were no rental cars available so we bought the Pontiac. This car is a Georgia original from the Pontiac factory and lived its entire life in Georgia until we had it shipped up to Virginia. We found new windshields in Harrisburg, VA, new windshield gasket in West Virginia, new points and condenser in West Virginia, new front wheel bearings in Missouri, and new starter in Julian. All of these items were installed during the trip or once in San Diego. New Rebuilt Carburetor installed in January 2023. It leaks some oil (as expected with a +70 yr old car) but the transmission fluid remains full and clean. The trans and clutch feel great. Even got 16 mpg on the trip. Drive it weekly to car shows with no issues. Greased all joints in July 2023. Interior was gutted at one point and new carpet and bench seats were installed. Interior painted flat black like exterior. Original gas tank was removed and a new 10 gallon tank was installed in the trunk prior to our ownership. We assume the original owner had a leak at own point and updated to this setup. Hood and fenders have some dents where the hood had flown up during transport operation before we purchased it. Hood latches with Jeep latches to keep it from coming up again. The brake system was upgraded at one point with a system from a 1970-80s Chevy pickup.

Car has a clean California title we obtained once it was brought into the state.
