1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit

This 1974 Pontiac Firebird Esprit is powered by a replacement 400ci V8 paired with an automatic 4 speed transmission and is finished in a repaint of the original LimeFire Green over a black interior. Equipment includes a Positraction rear end, formula hood, front and rear spoilers, 17″ wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a Holley Sniper Fuel Injection system with in-tank fuel pump, and a dual exhaust system. I acquired the vehicle in Oregon in 2018, and work in the last five years has since consisted of a bare-metal repaint, a new interior, a full drivetrain rebuild (engine, trans, rear axle). This Firebird is now offered with some records from the seller and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Limefire Green, the car was stripped to bare metal and repainted in 2022. Features include front and rear spoilers, a dual scoop formula hood, front and rear spoilers, and dual side mirrors. Bright wheel trim and rocker panel trim.
17″ Rallye II Style wheels are wrapped in 245/45 front and 285/40 rear Continental Contact Extreme Sport tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, wilwood upgraded front, plus hydroboost brake booster. The car is equipped with power steering.
The cabin was refreshed with components sourced from Classic Industries among others, during current ownership and features front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in black vinyl, along with a replacement console and black carpets. Additional interior work included replacing the trunk mat, headliner, door panels, kick panels, and rear packing tray. The radio has been updated with a custom autosound direct fit stereo, 2-4" front infinity speakers in the factory dash location and 2-6x9" Infinity speakers in the rear dash location, plus an amp and subwoofer in the trunk.
A replacement three-spoke steering wheel fronts the wooden style instrument panel that houses a 160-mph speedometer and a 8k tachometer along with auxiliary gauges displaying oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and battery voltage. The five digit odometer shows ~3500 miles, all of which were added by the current owner. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 400ci V8 was rebuilt in Sandy, Oregon in 2018. The engine is equipped with a Holley Sniper Fuel Injection, an RAIV camshaft, mid-length headers, a 2-1/2" dual exhaust system, a CVF Serpentine Setup with new water pump and power steering pump, and Holley tall valve covers.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 4 speed automatic 700r4 transmission (rebuilt in 2023) along with a Positraction rear end with 4.10:1 gearing. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
