1978 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird

This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Roller/Project car is up for sale. Originally a WS4 Martinique Blue, the car comes with a Pontiac 400 6.6-liter engine and a "Turbo" TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission were working when parked nearly 20 years ago, so some work may be needed to get them running again.
As you can see from the photos, the car is in the rust repair/fabrication phase. However, all of the necessary replacement/patch panels are included to complete the rear quarter panel area. The rear quarter replacement panels have been marked, cut, and are ready for welding. The next step was to replace the outer wheel well housing, add the trunk extension panel, then weld the quarter panel in place. The bottom section of the tail pan has been replaced with a reproduction panel and the floorboards have had patch panels welded in prior to my ownership.
All of the parts photographed will be sold with the vehicle; what you see is what you get. Therefore, the buyer will have two trunk lids, two trunk spoilers, two front/rear bumpers, and two shaker hood scoops. Choose the best of the two and sell the other or save for extra parts.
This Trans Am is an excellent project car for anyone who loves classic American muscle cars. With some work and dedication, it can be restored to its former glory. I must have it sold, paid for and transported by 4/30/23. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
