This stunning example of Pontiac’s classic sports coupe is just out of a fresh frame off rotisserie restoration. It has lived most of it's life in sunny California. Consider it a restomod with a pro touring slant. It started out virtually rust free, and is finished in Pontiac Liberty Blue base coat clear coat.The rare factory Ram Air fiberglass hood is is original and in excellent condition. Many desirable upgrades were included during the build to enhance driveability yet maintain the classic early second gen Firebird look. A freshly bored and stroked 400 cu in. Pontiac V8 was built with many hi-performance upgrades by the owner who was formerly the engine builder for Pontiac legend Nunzi and now displaces 494 cubic inches. The balanced and blueprinted pump gas friendly engine build includes:

400 block +.060”, Forged Ohio crank 4.5” stroke, Forged Eagle connecting rods,Forged DSS pistons-10.5:1 CR, Full length windage tray, Canton baffled road race 7qt oil pan, Ported Kauffman round port/ Hi Port aluminum cylinder heads,1-7/8” full length stainless headers,Pypes 2-1/2” stainless exhaust with X pipe and cross-flow muffler, “Old Faithful” roller cam by SD Performance, Roller rocker arms, Remote oil filter housing,billet distributor with composite gear. A Butler Hurricaine single plane aluminum intake manifold with a Quick Fuel 950 CFM double pumper carburetor.While the engine was not dynoed, similar engines built by SD Performance and Kauffman Racing are rated at around 600hp. A new Aeromotive fuel tank with in-tank fuel pump and regulator has been installed and is fuel injection capable if a future upgrade to fuel injection is desired.The engine is kept cool with a Champion aluminum radiator and thermostatically controlled Derale dual electric fans.

The transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 400 with a shift kit, Derale cooler and a custom built 2500 stall torque converter. AN lines are used throughout.During the frame-off restoration, Detroit Speed weld-in sub frame connectors and a custom 4 point roll bar was added to stiffen the chassis while still allowing access to the rear seats. Most parts are new including the windshield, rear window and mirrors. An American Autowire wiring harness, U-Did-It tilt steering column, and Vintage Air air air conditioning system was installed. The posi-traction rear end has been rebuilt and fitted with a new 3:23 ratio ring and pinion gearset. A new dashboard was fitted with Autometer gauges to mimic the classic-look factory units and are installed into an engine turned Trans-Am style dash panel. Dynamat was installed prior to the mass backed loop pile carpet to keep unwanted interior noise at bay. A bluetooth Kenwood KMM-BT525HD stereo was installed and is connected to a tri-way front and 6x9 triaxial speakers at the rear. An Optima yellow top battery resides in the trunk with an inconspicuous master cut-off switch. Additional upgrades include 4 wheel disc brakes, backed by a new hydroboost unit with cooler, lowered springs front and rear, a quick ratio WS6 steering box and Koni adjustable shocks. Wheels are Year One 17x9 cast aluminum Rallye IIs fitted with 285-40ZR17 Continental Contisport Xtreme Contact tires at 4 corners. The new speedometer reads 100mi. The original speedometer replaced read 72,000mi.TMU.

Included with the sale is an original owner's manual and receipts from the restoration process.PHS documentation is also included and can be seen in photos.This vehicle is offered with a clean CA title in the sellers name.
