1970 Pontiac LeMans Sport Convertible - Project Car. This car was just recently removed from 30 plus years of indoor storage in Florida. The engine is a 350ci with an aftermarket aluminum intake with a Holley 4 barrel carb. Turbo 350 Automatic transmission (shift on the column). I do not know what gear ratio the rearend is. The rearend is not a posi. The options on this car from the factory are: Bucket seats, power steering, power top and Rally II Wheels (no A/C). The gentleman that stored this car 30 years ago removed the carpet and drain plugs before storage so the interior floors are in excellent condition with no rust. The car has some lower body rust but it is minor. There is rust in the lower rear quarter panels and lower fender dog legs. The frame under the car is completely solid with just light surface rust. The trunk floor has some rust in it but the car includes a reproduction complete trunk floor. The trunk lid has been changed to a better used one with no rust. The hood has been changed to a reproduction GTO hood with the correct scoops. The engine has been sitting for 30 years so I have not attempted to start it. I would assume that it needs all of the obvious mechanical repair related with a car that has been sitting for 30 years ie: Oil the cylinders to manually turn over the engine, drain all the fluids and replace including: fuel system, cooling system and oils. Also, check and service the brakes etc..... The car will need to be towed or transported on a trailer from my location. The car rolls easily and is easy to load on a trailer.Someone has painted it in primer years ago but I believe that all of the body panels are original to the car with the exception of the trunk lid and hood. The right front fender has some bondo in it.This car would be an excellent project car to convert into a 1970 GTO convertible clone. If you have any questions let me know.
