For sale is our gorgeous Limekist Green, 1971 Firebird Esprit with factory power steering and power brakes and Deluxe Sandlewood Interior which is a rare combination. The car is numbers matching with it's original build sheet included!! Car is located in Frisco, TX 75033.
This car was purchased in California by the first owner, who sold it a few years ago to a family in San Antonio, TX. I purchased this car 2 years ago and it has been in Dallas area since. This is one of the reasons why this car doesn't have a single hole or any rust and rot on the original factory sheet metal, undercarriage and frame etc. The only sheet metal that was replaced is the Trunk Pan and the trunk lid. The rest is all factory GM original.
This car has led a pampered, cared-for life, and is a fun car to drive. The car was painted a few years ago in its original color, Limekist Green. The body is straight and the driver quality paint is in overall great condition with minor dings and scratches. This car is in excellent running and driving condition with no mechanical issues, no alignment or suspension issues, no braking issues, no overheating or smoking issues, and no rattles or leaks.
Although it’s a driver, the care this car has been shown is apparent. There are minor blemishes in the paint but the original sheetmetal and undercarriage is 100% rust free inside and out, and the undercarriage is beautiful. All the glass is original and looks great.
The interior of this ’71 is all original, other than the carpet, the headliner and rear speaker shelf. The door panels, arm rests, console, front and rear seats were recently restored. We have its original build sheet and even has the factory stickers on the glovebox door. A true time capsule with the original numbers matching engine and transmission, original rear end, still has its original Rally II wheels and trim rings, original style rubber floor mats, all original factory glass, original vinyl top (never replaced), original radiator, original fan shroud (has cracks), original intake, original 2 barrel carburetor, original air cleaner, original power steering components, with 44120 miles on the odometer (mileage exempt). Emblems, moldings, and trim is all original including the original GM trunk mat.
The car has all new weatherstripping, polyurethane suspension bushings, shocks, brakes, exhaust, new spark plugs, spark plug wires, all 4 tires and center caps for the wheels. All sheet metal is original to the car with the exception of the trunk lid, trunk pan, rear bumper and trunk lid emblem.
All lights work, all factory gauges work and are still accurate, and the odometer and speedometer work perfectly.
The only issues with the car are some minor blemishes in the paint, the aftermarket radio is not hooked up, needs a new wiper motor and the heater core isn't hooked up. The original engine and transmission have never been out of the car. There is usually a drop of engine oil and transmission fluid, but all the seals otherwise are in great shape. I would not replace anything or worry about any major leaks with this car. The car is frequently driven 100 miles round trip on the weekends and on the highway without issue. Hard to find these cars being so pristine condition with its original parts.
