1964 PONTIAC GTO.---The GTOs introduction was a unique blend of performance options that Delorean and company were able to get by the GM overseers. This GTO is the Ultimate build in the same spirit of the GTO founders. "Next Level" if you will. This GTO was born in Pontiac as a four speed/ four barrel GTO. Now, completely restored by “Mr. Concours Gold”…Chris Winston at CW Restorations.
While still in stock trim: new paint and top— Silvermist Gray with black vinyl top and black interior. New chrome on bumpers and trim… Everything is new down to the NOS spinner hubcaps. Newly rebuilt tilt column with 64 wood wheel.
The 64 Tripower unit sits atop a 500hp stroked 421. Heres the detail on driveline: 460ci 4bolt 421. 9.5-to-one pump gas friendly compression. The correct “716” heads were prepared by Wilhite Automotive-Derby KS
(260cfm flow, larger valves with hardseats, beehive springs, screw in studs with guideplates) with great vacuum roller cam, Ram Air exhaust manifolds and 3” oval exhaust system, ceramic coated and installed by Ram Air Restoration. 3” oval exhaust splitters in the spirit of the original optional tips. New Super-Muncie M-23 trans, 11" clutch and original Hurst shifter with tight bushings, d/s safety loop and stock 3.23 posi rear axle.
Suspension, steering and brakes are all upgraded as well..fast ratio p/s box, front disc brakes, poly-graphite bushings, 1.25”/1.00” solid sway bars keep this goat sure- footed with new Red Line radials. Drives and cruises like a Dream and very fast.
Restoration pics & records and PHS documentation included. Mileage less than 1000 on the car after resto. Licensed less than a month.
