Although this Firebird was equipped with many highly desirable options such as automatic transmission, power steering, tilt steering, power front disc brakes, power convertible top and air conditioning they almost immediately began the quest to make this their dream car. The engine was upgraded to a high performance 455 C.I. Pontiac V-8. The air conditioning was replaced with a modern high efficiency "retro" style system. The instruments are all electronic and fitted in their original housing, including speedometer and tachometer, and are fully functional. The radio was upgraded with a modern entertainment system. The exterior was finished in Aegenic Blue Poly Metallic paint, and still shows as new. This color combination paired with the new white convertible top make a striking overall appearance, and the period correct "Cragar" wheels complete the package.
