Description:

1969 Pontiac GTO

Same owner the last 19 years. #s match throughout. This is truly an honest, unabused car. It functions and feels great. A lot of original qualities. Plenty of original documents. It has Pontiac Historical Services certification, original invoice and window sticker. We found the build sheet on top of the gas tank. It also includes original sales literature and the owner's manual is mint.
EXTERIOR: It is a very straight, honest body. Everything fits really well, especially the rubber bumper. The paint is over 20 years old and it shows very well. There are some minor imperfections. The hideaway lights open and close, power antenna works. The rally ll wheels have never been repainted, the correct lug nuts, center caps and trim rings look like new. BFGoodrich tires look new. Taillights are original with some pitting, bumper was rechromed. Door jambs are clean, the weather strips have been replaced, has metal door edge guards. The black power top is in excellent condition.
INTERIOR: We replaced the original carpet with new. The interior was made tidy- replaced console door, dyed plastic parts, replaced misc screws, interior light lenses etc. I think the interior is in excellent unabused shape. The backseat, armrests and door panels look pristine. Front seats been redone, the center console is in real nice shape. The dash pad is mint, only 2 very small cracks. The vents, instrument panel, heater controls all look great. The interior lights all work. The factory Am radio in in the dash, there is a working FM adapter below that works. Inside the glove box the light works, has an owner's manual. It has all it's original seatbelts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 400-350 motor. Brand new plugs, cap, rotor and wires. It runs super smooth. Very proper and intact. The air cleaner assembly has the heat riser tubes, vacuum lines etc. Washer bottle is hooked up, alternator looks new, fan shroud looks good, has hood insulation. It does feature power steering, power brakes and factory air conditioning. The air needs to be serviced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Rubber mat, well liner and weatherstrip still look like new. It has been spatter painted. It has a matching Rally ll wheel and a BFGoodrich tire for spare. The complete jack assembly is there and it's all bolted down properly. Bottom of the trunk lid is painted glossy.
UNDERSIDE: Very clean original metal. The lower 1/4 drain holes are still completely in tact. We dropped the fuel tank to fix gas gauge and found the build sheet in remarkable condition. That's a piece of paper and it didn't rot! Bottom of the motor was cleaned and painted. The original Turbo 400 automatic was rebuilt. New shift cable and linkage was just adjusted. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is complete. The front end was inspected, lubed and the alignment was adjusted.
Really this is a good honest car that feels and functions better then most. We just spent over $1,500 having it serviced by someone that collects and works on older cars, he even said it's a nice car. The #s match, has a bunch of original documents and it's an air conditioned GTO convertible! Not to mention it has hideaway lights, that's an option I would absolutely want.
