1956 Pontiac Catalina

Selling this 1956 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Catalina Original V8 316 c.i. and hydramatic automatic both run great. Car drives really nice. Carburetor, fuel tank, brakes, radiator, etc, etc. all gone through, brand new or redone. Power steering car, Star Chief was top of the line for 56, so interior has real leather in the seats, many options (radio, rear speakers, courtesy lights, etc.).
The interior is mostly original and unrestored, and still looks really nice. Driver side rear door panel interior trim is the only part with a little damage.
All gauges and lights work fine. Original radio is there, but bypassed as a newer AF/FM radio and CD player is hidden in the glove box and working nice.
Stainless mouldings all around are near perfect. Chrome is mostly very good, tailight bezels are pitted a little, and the hood bar/lip moulding will need rechrome. A slight ding in the rear bumper driver side (visible on photos). Tires, carpet, and some other stuff is brand new. Car has had an older repaint in the original Sandalwood tan and sun beige colors, so cosmetically it's not perfect, has some scratches and bruises, but the car is solid and looks super nice and ready to enjoy at local shows or just to drive around. It’s more of a really nice driver than a show car but it is priced accordingly too. The worst area is the lower trunk corners, look at the photos that show these parts.
I think I am representing this car worse than it is, it really looks really good and runs strong, but I prefer a buyer to have a pleasant surprise than a bad surprise.
