Very rare 1968 2-door hardtop Pontiac Executive. This was the mid-tier full-size Pontiac in 1968, placed between the entry-level Catalina and the top-of-the-line Bonneville. As far as I can tell, this car was purchased in Monroe and has been in NC its entire life. The Executive can currently be enjoyed as a driver (it's cosmetically a 20-footer) or could fairly easily be restored to like-new condition. The carpeting, paint, vinyl top, upholstery, carpet, and weatherstripping are less than two or three years old. The tires and exhaust are brand new. The engine and transmission are both in great shape and the car starts easily. The fuel pump and ignition system are less than three years old. The power steering works well, as does the carburetor and battery. The brakes are the next thing that needs to be updated. The car stops normally, but it requires some leg strength. This Pontiac is a factory AC car and all of the components are still under the hood, but it's not currently working. The radio is the original AM-only model. There are no major rust issues under the car. The passenger and trunk floor pans are solid.
