1966 Pontiac Le Mans Sports Coupe

Here's ones for those who like to look a bit different in their muscle cars. When you park next to another Pontiac at car shows, everybody will start to see how elegantly different this 1966 Pontiac LeMans coupe is. But the more than just a meticulous frame-off restoration, this one is going to grab attention because it was upgraded to be just as powerful as a GTO, too!

Stacked headlights, the pointed hood, and those flying buttress C-pillars make this LeMans look like a much more expensive car. In fact, it's no surprise this one continues to have a premium image because there has been a lot invested in keeping it looking so fresh. This coupe was given a fame-off restoration that was completed in 2018. It was upgraded to Pontiac's Montero Red paint. This was an expensive seven-layer PPG application, and the modern clearcoat luster loves to highlight the crispness of the body panels. It's a detail-oriented package, right down to the stereo-style taillights you could only get on a '66 Tempest LeMans. And while the whole coupe gives off a proper premium image, the Cragar SS-wheels also brightly announce there's something special under the hood (more on that in a moment.)

More of the detail-oriented restoration awaits you inside. They even powder coated the seat frames and springs before adding fresh upholstery. That's the kind of commitment that gets you a terrific feeling interior. Plus, the door panels, dash, carpet, headliner, and other details all have the unmistakable appearance of a quality investment. As a premium LeMans, they really wanted to get the vintage upscale atmosphere correct, and so even the wood-like trim looks great. This also draws your attention to nice features like the center console and sporty round gauge package with large speedo and tach. You'll love all the vintage features - from the correct trunk mat to the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes. And while this is for lovers of factory-style atmosphere, you'll spot some well-integrated worthwhile upgrades. The three-spoke steering wheel feels great in your hands, the gear selector nicely integrates overdrive, and there's even a B&M lockup converter.

People are already going to mistake this LeMans for a GTO, so why not make sure you can teach the Goats a lesson on the streets? That's why you have the mighty 400 cubic-inch V8. Everything in the engine bay looks pristine and new, because this was all part of the comprehensive restoration investment. Glossy inner-fenders, polished valve covers, and fresh components are all part of a package you'll want to show off. And of course, those three bright air toppers are an instant indicator of the triple set of dual-barrel Rochester carburetors. Not only does the V8 inhale deeply with Tri-Power, but also it exhales with extra power out of the long tube headers on their way to the dual exhaust. The whole package is said to make 400+ horsepower. The undercarriage photos are more proof of how much they stressed every inch on the restoration. But as pretty as this one is, it's also built to be enjoyed. That's why you have the upgraded four-speed automatic transmission and a Positraction rear end.

This is a long-term Arizona car with a terrific recent frame-off restoration. The original engine and transmission can even come with the sale if you like. This is a cool mix of power, premium, uniqueness, and quality. Call today!!!
