Up for auction is a beautiful 100% original 1981 Pontiac Trans Am with 61,000 original miles. This is a one owner all original 81 Trans Am that is truly unmolested and untouched. This is also a rare color combination that was specially ordered by its original owner.
Vehicle has never been used in snow or salt covered roads.
Vehicle was purchased new at Napp Pontiac in Middletown, NY. Vehicle is equipped with a 301 V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, Electric rear defroster, Factory t-tops, tinted glass, am radio, WS-6 Special performance package, limited slip differential, Handling package, Turbo cast aluminum wheels (gold), intermittent wipers, heavy duty alternator. I did replace the original Turdo type original wheels with the honeycombs but the original wheels are included with sale.
Vehicle retains its original paint that is in excellent condition. The rear wheel spoilers have some paint fading. There are a few light scratches but nothing to really mention for a car that is 39 years old. There is a minor dent in the passenger door where it rubbed garaged door molding. I didn't want to touch or alter the paint since the car is all original.
The body panels are rust free and 100% solid and untouched.
The undercarriage is 100% solid with only minor surface rust see pics.
The original interior is in pristine condition. Even the carpet is in new condition.
Vehicle was just removed form storage. The fuel system was flushed, it started right up and it runs flawlessly. The cooling system was flushed, new water pump, hoses and belts. Vehicle was just tuned up with new catalytic converter, intermediate pipe, muffler and tail pipes.
Vehicle still retains all its original owners manuals, bookets, window sticker and salesmans business card.
Vehicle can be driven any distance with confidence.
